The Pebble Beach of the Pacific
Alana Pūnana is set within Alaeloa — a gated oceanfront community that embodies the spirit and architecture of old Hawaiʻi in a way that is increasingly rare to find anywhere on the island.
Completed in 1965, Alaeloa was designed around open space, the natural landscape, and the charm of traditional Hawaiian residential architecture. When it opened, Sunset Magazine called it "The Pebble Beach of the Pacific." More than sixty years later, it continues to evoke that same quiet distinction.
Many who have spent time here believe Alaeloa transcends its physical location — that it becomes, over time, a state of mind. The grounds are spacious, meticulously maintained, and filled with tropical color: manicured lawns, a beloved mango grove, a crescent beach, and sweeping ocean, sunset, and outer island views at nearly every turn.
Community amenities include a large heated saline pool, a pavilion with a full kitchen, bathrooms, and showers — ideal for long afternoons in the shade after mornings in the water.

Napili's own charming shops, restaurants, and beautiful bay are within easy walking distance. Farther afield, the Road to Hana, Haleakalā, and the lush landscapes of Upcountry await.
And yet, tucked within Alaeloa's quiet grounds above the bay, Alana Pūnana manages to feel entirely removed from it all.
